A festival debut

As it’s World Book Day, it seemed an apt time to announce that I will be making my literary festival debut next month!

I’m very pleased to have been invited to join the line-up at the Hexham Book Festival at the end of April. It will be the first time I’ve spoken at such an event, or even attended one, and it’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time, so I’m particularly looking forward to it.

My event takes place on the morning of 27th April at the Queen’s Hall Arts Centre, where I’ll be interviewed on stage by veteran political journalist Gerry Foley. You can see full details and buy tickets using this link. The rest of the line-up is very impressive, so there are plenty of other reasons to head along to the event.

I’m planning (or hoping) to attend a number of other events during the course of this year to promote my books and research, and will post details on here when they are confirmed. But this is my first literary festival, so it feels rather a special event. Do please come along if you can so I’m not met by an empty room!
